What are the panels commonly used for?
On-site laser printing available only for the front 3 panels
PANEL 1 - Reserved for outbound shipping information (THIS IS A MUST), also can include company logo, content verbiage such as, "PERISHABLE" and a call to action so the customer knows to open up the label.
PANEL 2 - Often used for invoice/packing slip, preprinted return label, or gift message.
PANEL 3 - Often used for gift message, return information or coupons.
PANEL 4, 5 and 6 (back side) - About us stories, advertisements, care instructions, coupons, maps and directions, membership sign up, recipes, return/exchange policies, social media, tasting notes or warranties. The possibilities are endless!
What is included in the price of the labels?
You receive high quality, full color double-sided print on heavy label stock.
Shipping is NOT included.
Can the 1000 minimum label order be split into multiple designs?
No, the 1000 label minimum is per design.
Is the price negotiable for larger quantities?
Yes, please contact eCom Label Solutions directly for pricing above 50,000 labels.
How long does it take to get the labels, once an order is placed?
Production is typically 2-4 days after final art approval. Shipping time is dependent on ship method and location.
Is it possible to apply the current 4”x 6” shipping label onto the eCom label?
Although the eCom labels are designed to have the outbound shipping information printed directly onto it, some customers have opted to apply the 4”x 6” label to it with great success.
Can the eCom Label be applied to polybags?
Yes, the labels have been tested on corrugated boxes and polybags. The surface area must be a minimum of 5.5” x 8.5”, clean and dry. Do not apply the eCom Label over seams or edges.
Can the labels be used for international shipments?
Not at this time.
Do I have to use the eCom Label for every package that I ship?
It is possible to ship the first label on the eCom Label and then default subsequent labels to another printer. Please contact your FedEx Customer Integration Consultant (CIC) for more information.
I ship small packages, is there another size available?
Other sizes are in development.
How long does it take to print, fold and apply?
The whole process can be done in under 5 seconds.
Is automation available?
Full automation is in development. Please contact eCom directly for more information.
Can I use custom coupon codes?
Yes, just provide us with the database or number sequence.
Can I use my current laser printer?
Each printer has a different print path configuration and fuser temperature. Your printer may not be ideal for this particular label. We strongly recommend the Xerox Phaser 4622. It has been tested for compatibility and reliability.
Can I use the eCom Label with another shipping carrier?
No. Once you agree to the terms of purchasing the labels, you can only use them with FedEx shipments.
Can I purchase the labels directly from FedEx?
No, labels are ordered directly through eCom Label Solutions. Payment for the labels is made directly to eCom Label Solutions.
I'm on board, what do I do next?
1.) Contact your FedEx sales representative to help order the printer - ask if you qualify
for FTIP ( formerly known as FedEx Tech Awards®).
2.) If you plan on doing your own label design, download a template first. When you are
ready to place your order, CLICK HERE.
If you want eCom label to design your label (additional $150 fee), CLICK HERE.
3.) Coordinate an appointment with your FedEx Customer Integration Consultant (CIC)
to coincide with the arrival of the printer and labels.
What is your return policy?
eCom labels are custom printed per your specifications. Please review carefully before signing off on any proofs. Labels are not returnable for credit on errors in copy once proofs have been approved
What are the label specifications?
The eCom labels are produced using a 3.2mil semi-gloss laser stock with a 3.2mil white kraft liner. It has a permanent tackified emulsion acrylic adhesive with a tack rating of 14.0. It's recommended use is corrugated board and nonpolar substrates.
